The most famous beach in the Andaman Islands is Radhanagar Beach.Radhanagar Beach lies on the south coast of Havelock Island. This is 7th best beach in the world. It is crowned as “Asia’s best beach” by Time Magazine. White sand with perfectly coloured blue waters, all lined by lush forest and palm trees are truly is an unforgettable attractions of Radhanagar Beach.
From the Islands ferry pier, it is about 12 kilometers. Outstanding quality of Radhanagar Beach s a Grade A.This beach is also rated as one of the best beaches in Asia by TIME Magazine. It has an overall an average width of 30 to 40 meters and length of two kilometers.The sand is white and very fine in grain and with lush green trees on one end and aqua green, clear water on the other end, one can truly take a walk midst nature.
The beach is also very safe for swimming though incidents of salt water crocodile attacks on humans have been reported couple of times. But in such cases, the forest department issues a warning to the visitors. It is not advisable to go inside the water as the intensity of waves increases and it gets a little dangerous to stay in water post sunset.
From Port Blair reach Radhanagar Beach, Havelock Island via seaplane or Makruzz (catamarine). Book a ticket on seaplane or Makruzz from Port Blair.
